Size Guide

Finding your size

Our garments are cut in a vintage academic silhouette — an intentionally oversized, boxy shape with a slightly cropped length. They are unisex, so the guide below translates our sizing into the men's and women's sizes you already know.

How you want it to fit

  • Order your usual size for the intended relaxed fit — how the garment is designed to be worn.
  • Size down for a closer, more fitted cut.
  • Size up for a deliberately oversized, streetwear silhouette.

The most reliable check

Take a t-shirt you already own and love the fit of. Lay it flat and measure two things: the width from armpit to armpit, and the length from the top of the shoulder straight down to the hem. Compare those numbers to the fit you want from us — remembering that our cut runs relaxed and slightly cropped, so a garment roughly 2–4 cm wider than your favorite tee will feel right rather than large.

Still unsure?

Email us at connect@philosophersquill.com before you order and tell us your usual size and how you like things to sit. We would rather answer twice than have you order unsure.

Because every piece is printed to order, we are unable to accept returns or exchanges for sizing on correctly fulfilled orders — so please take a moment with this guide before choosing.
