Thirty Mornings: A Practice from the Meditations of Marcus Aurelius
$19.00
“In the morning when thou risest unwillingly, let this thought be present—I am rising to the work of a human being.”
Marcus Aurelius · Meditations, V.1 · trans. George Long, 1862
THE PRACTICE
Thirty passages from the Meditations of Marcus Aurelius, one for each morning. Read the passage, answer one question, and close the day with three more. Five minutes in the morning, five at night. The days run in five parts: The Work, Judgment, Other People, Setbacks, and Time.
ON ATTRIBUTION
Every passage is quoted exactly from George Long’s translation and checked word for word against the 1862 first edition. Each carries its book and section, so you can read the rest. The questions are ours, not his.
